1.    How did Aamir Khan choose Script for this film?

The script for this film has been copied from an oscar award winner Hollywood's English movie "Forest Grump" by Tom Hanks. Besides Oscar, this movie had won many national and international awards for its script, screenplay, acting, and music, etc. Aamir Khan himself is playing the role of "Forest Grump".

3.    Remake idea of Forest Grump

This idea was circling in Bollywood since 1994. At first, Anil Kapoor was selected to play the role of Forest Grump as Sheikh Chilli. But it was not accomplished because of some unknown reasons. Later on, Sharukh Khan and Sanju Baba were also asked but they refused. 

4.    Aamir Khan as Laal Singh Chaddha

The idea of the remake was discussed with Aamir Khan while the shooting of "Rung Day Basanti". He accepted the offer. Aamir Khan is the first time his career is going to play the role of a Sikh. The film was scheduled to release in 2020 but it was postponed because of the severe wave of COVID-19 in India. Secondly, Kareena was pregnant at that time and was unable to attend the shootings.

It is a pure drama film which was shot at Sikh majority city of India Chandigarh. Laal Singh is a shy boy who feared to face people he lives alone with his parents. Chaddha has a physical disability he was unable to walk. But he was trained by an army officer and he got rid of crutches and started running like normal people.
